Congress has approved the act and President Joe Biden signed it "to reduce and prevent suicide, burnout, and mental and behavioral health conditions among health care professionals." The Physicians Foundation also promotes Vital Signs: The Campaign to Prevent Physician Suicide. National Physician Suicide Awareness Day is Sept. 17 each year and there are 6 Actions You Can Take to help doctors dealing with burnout.
