Data from the COVID tracking project on coronavirus cases, test results and more.

How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests.

Here’s the latest data, updated on March 24

Positive tests: 42,164

Negative tests: 237,321

Pending tests: 14,571

Number of hospitalized patients:  3,325

Patient deaths: 471
