Data from the COVID tracking project on coronavirus cases, test results and more.

How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests.

Here’s the latest data, updated on April 1

Positive tests: 184,770

Negative tests: 864,201

Pending tests: 59,529

Number of hospitalized patients: 26,660

Patient deaths: 3,746
