Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonists used to treat diabetes and obesity are some of the hottest topics in health care right now. Based on insurance claims, Axios mapped out the number of prescriptions per 1,000 people, state by state. The states with the highest prescribing rates also have greater prevalence of diabetes and obesity, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.
