With a commitment to medical education, nurses and medical assistants may be more likely to stay in jobs with physicians. But hospitals are competing for them too, especially registered nurses, says Ron Holder, MHA, chief operating officer for the Medical Group Management Association. Staffing in physicians’ practices, hospitals, and health care systems is expected to be one of the top administrative challenges facing the sector in 2023.
