Why Tom Price Is the Right Pick for HHS

Article

President-elect Donald Trump’s selection of Representative Tom Price as Secretary of Health and Human Services is a great choice and here’s why.

President-elect Donald Trump’s selection of Representative Tom Price as Secretary of Health and Human Services is a great choice and here’s why.

Obamacare is now on the chopping block, and with Representative Price leading the way, in the relatively near future, it could be nothing more than a piece of history. Tom Price has been an ardent critic of Obamacare, and before going to Washington, Price spent almost 20 years in private practice as an orthopedic surgeon. This gives him the unique perspective of our healthcare system that can only be seen through the eyes of a physician in private practice. He then served four terms in the Georgia State Senate, with two terms as Minority Whip, so he also seemingly knows how state governments work. He has served as a member of Congress since being elected back in 2004, and he has been a true leader while serving there. His resume is proof positive that he is ready to take on the position he has been entrusted with because he has firsthand experience in the world of medicine, state government, and Congress.

Shortly after learning of his new appointment, Price said, “There is much work to be done to ensure we have a healthcare system that works for patients, families, and doctors; that leads the world in the cure and prevention of illness; and that is based on sensible rules to protect the well-being of the country while embracing its innovative spirit.”

When you look at and listen to those words you can’t help but take heart that they include patients, families, and doctors, along with the well being of the country. I’m going to invite Soon-to-be Secretary Price to be a guest here on the Alemian file because I think it would be a wonderful opportunity to bring his message directly to you.

If you have a question that you would like me to ask soon to be Secretary Price, send an email to David@theAlemianfile.com, and let me know what your question is. It’s very possible that I’ll ask him your question. And remember to visit my website www.CapitalCrestFinancialGroup.com.

Absolutely make sure you come back here next week for another edition of The Alemian File.
