Staffing challenges: Blending in-person and virtual workers

Video

Change is always hard.

When DHR Health began using virtual workers, local support staff were nervous – “Am I going to lose my job?” But when managers guide a partnership approach, it becomes possible for everyone to do their jobs, and even for front-end staff to smile while they’re doing it, said Veronica Villareal, MHA/MBA, chief ambulatory officer for DHR Health in Texas.

Villareal will present “Living in and Overcoming Staffing Uncertainty” as part of “Medical Practice Excellence: Financial and Operations Conference,” presented by the Medical Group Management Association March 19-21 in Orlando, Florida.
