Selfie-related deaths are a public health problem

Selfie-related deaths have become a public health issue, according to a recent study published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research. The most common causes of death are drowning and falling, with the mean age at 22 years old. Researchers say more warnings should be issued for tourists.

No mortality benefits for vegetarian diet

There are no significant mortality benefits for vegetarians, results from a new study shows. The study had 117,673 participants and followed each for 18 years. According to the study, researchers advise that future scientists further investigate the duration of the vegetarian diets. 

Nursing home vaccination rates low

As COVID rates rise, nursing home vaccination numbers remain low. On average, 17% of residents and 2% of staff are up to date on their shots. Arizona had the lowest rates with only 6.2% of residents up to date. South Dakota had the highest rates with 47% of residents current.
