Physician disciplinary actions: A message for primary care

In August 2023, Public Citizen, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit consumer advocacy group, published the report, “Ranking of the Rate of State Medical Boards’ Serious Disciplinary Actions, 2019-2021.” Primary care physicians are the bedrock of medical practice and they deserve to know what disciplinary actions may be in the past of colleagues or specialists, said coauthor Robert E. Oshel, PhD.
