In case you missed it, Anthony Fauci, MD, was in the House Oversight and Accountability Select Subcommittee on June 3 in his first congressional hearing in nearly two years. The Hill reports that “he picked up where he left off: trading barbs with Republicans over the government’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.” Read more here.
The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has published its final recommendation statement on “Falls Prevention in Community-Dwelling Older Adults: Interventions.” An analysis of 29 trials showed that exercise could make a significant reduction in the number of falls over time for the residents. Of mountains and mental health stigma
Summit season has ended on the world’s tallest mountain. This year’s crowd of climbers included a marathoner running to break the stigma surrounding mental health, an issue that physicians and other clinicians encounter when they consider their own needs.
