COVID IBS link

Researchers in Arizona are investigating the link between COVID and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Their research will study how or if COVID impacts IBS symptoms. This research has the potential to help millions since an estimated 15% of the United States population suffers from IBS.

1.8 million received COVID shot last week

Almost 2 million Americans received the latest COVID vaccine last week, according to health care data and analytics firm IQVIA Holdings Inc (IQV.N). "It feels like a good number," Michael Kleinrock, senior research director at the IQVIA institute said in a press release. Last year, 17% of Americans received the updated vaccine.

Activity bursts linked to longer life

New research shows that daily activities such as household chores, walking, or gardening can lead to a longer, healthier life. Participants who spent as little as three minutes also reported positive effects. “Every minute counts, even if that minute of physical activity is part of our daily routine,” senior author Emmanuel Stamatakis said in an interview.
