How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests. Data on vaccination comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Here’s the latest data, updated on March 1:

Positive tests: 28,350,657

Negative tests: 122,542,838

Number of hospitalized patients: 47,352

Patient deaths: 503,235

Total vaccine doses distributed: Delivered: 96,402,490

Patients who've received the first dose: 49,772,180

Patients who’ve received the second dose: 24,779,920
