How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests. Data on vaccination comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Here’s the latest data, updated on February 24:

Positive tests: 28,000,689

Negative tests: 120,288,105

Number of hospitalized patients: 55,058

Patient deaths: 492,578

Total vaccine doses distributed: 82,114,370

Patients who've received the first dose: 44,544,969

Patients who’ve received the second dose: 19,882,544
