McKesson acquires EHR pioneer

McKesson, the giant hospital IT and supply company, has acquired Practice Partner, the Seattle-based firm formerly known as Physician Micro Systems Inc. According to FP Andrew Urie, who founded Practice Partner in 1983, his company is the oldest EHR vendor in the U.S.
