Medical Economics recently sat down with Robert Otto Valdez, PhD, MHSA, director of the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Its mission “is to produce evidence to make healthcare safer, higher quality, more accessible, equitable, and affordable, and to work within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and with other partners to make sure that the evidence is understood and used.”
In this video segment, Valdez discusses AHRQ’s mission and what the agency does with its research to help practicing physicians.
