Data from the COVID tracking project on coronavirus cases, test results and more

How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests.

Here’s the latest data, updated on October 27:

Positive tests: 8,660,366

Negative tests: 115,457,526

Cumulative hospitalized: 463,529

Currently hospitalized: 42,917

Patient deaths: 217,418
