Data from the COVID tracking project on coronavirus cases, test results and more

How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests.

Here’s the latest data, updated on October 21:

Positive tests: 8,232,367

Negative tests: 109,964,576

Cumulative hospitalized: 438,967

Currently hospitalized: 39,230

Patient deaths: 212,678
