Data from the COVID tracking project on coronavirus cases, test results and more.

How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests.

Here’s the latest data, updated on August 10:

Positive tests: 5,018,877

Negative tests: 56,773,694

Pending tests: 3,871

Number of hospitalized patients: 49,039

Patient deaths: 154,520
