The numbers behind the Duke University Medical Center's Gynecologic Oncology Department

The following data were evaluated to determine the Duke University Medical Center’s standing as a Clinical Center of Excellence for gynecologic oncology:

1970 – Division founded

9 – Total faculty (five clinical, three fellows, one PhD)

Two-thirds of major surgical cases approached with minimally invasive laparoscopic or robotic surgery

20 – Peer-reviewed papers published annually (along with additional book chapters and non peer-reviewed papers)
