• Skyscape, a provider of medical information for PDAs and other mobile devices, has made its decision support suite available for Apple Computer's iPhone.

• Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty has proposed legislation that would require all Minnesota doctors, hospitals and other health care providers to use interoperable EHRs by 2015.

• Nearly 20 percent of physicians responding to an online poll by the Medical Records Institute said that their malpractice insurer offers a discount for having an EHR, and 45 percent believe EHRs will make them less vulnerable to malpractice suits.

• Alaska has become the final state to adopt regulations allowing e-prescribing. It's now legal in all 50 states and Washington, DC.
