Taking health to heart

A 90-day public comment period has opened for physicians and patients to weigh in on a proposed new American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine. The new board is a collaboration among the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, Heart Failure Society of America, Heart Rhythm Society and The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions. Bleeding money

New England has a huge presence in the U.S. health care system, and its history. Physicians, administrators and experts across the sector have been watching Steward Health Care, which operates eight hospitals around Massachusetts. On May 6, the Dallas-based company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
