The prevalence of physician burnout remains a significant issue for the healthcare sector. A 2018 Medscape study showed that 42% of physicians report burnout while a Mayo Clinic survey suggests that work-life balance is improving for some physicians.

Interestingly, during this same time period, private subscription-based healthcare delivery options, such as concierge care, grew 3% to 6% each year. Could there be a connection?
