From 2019 to 2021, nonsurgical medical groups increased staffing, and also reported increases in RVUs and revenues, says Ron Holder, MHA, chief operating officer for the Medical Group Management Association. He noted that is an interesting correlation, but necessarily causation. Staffing in physicians’ practices, hospitals, and health care systems is expected to be one of the top administrative challenges facing the sector in 2023.
